CBS5: Recycled SJ Home Made Out Of Shipping Containers

SAN JOSE (CBS 5) ― A two bedroom, two bath 1,700 square foot erected at the West Coast Green Conference takes recycling to the next level. The home is made out of five steel shipping containers.
Builders say steel shipping containers are strong and sturdy. Another benefit is the houses can be built in nearly half the time for the same costs.
