Solaleya choose West Coast Green to present ‘Domespace Homes’ to the USA
Solaleya is proud to present at West Coast Green- San Jose Convention Center – September 25-27 2008, a luxurious and environmentally conscious housing solution: Domespace Homes.
These revolutionary dome shaped structures emerged in the mind of French builder/visionary Patrick Marsilli in the late 80’s. Since then the houses have become uncompromising habitat to over 100 families and businesses across the world, building their homes from Europe to Taiwan and more…
Totally green, Domespace Homes are 90% made of wood which allows using less energy to build the house than other material like steel or aluminum and reduce the level of radioactivity and electromagnetism inside the house.
Hurricane and earthquake resistant. The structure, made of a central pillar and arches offers unparalleled integrity and no perpendicularity to the seismic ray. Domespace homes are recognized by specialists and proven to resist a seismic event of magnitude 8 on the MSK scale. Also, its aerodynamic shape gives very little resistance to high wind and so far allowed it to resist to a Cat.5 Hurricane.
Energy efficiency is one of the main concerns today and Domespace Homes offers a unique solution to it: the home is actually capable to rotate to the sun, using passive solar energy by slowly turning the entire home towards the sun to heat it or away from it to cool it down. The rotation is imperceptible from inside the house and can be operated with a simple touch of a remote control.
The homes come in various sizes and models: From 829 sq.ft to 7,158 Sq.ft. The option of a non-rotative model is also available.
